Our story began in the early 1980s in Canberra, with a visionary plumber who set out to establish a distinct and recognized brand, The Plumbing Doctor. From its humble origins, the business quickly flourished, adopting a franchise model that propelled it into a national presence across Canberra, Wollongong, the Gold Coast, and Newcastle.

In the initial phase of its expansion, The Plumbing Doctor invested in nurturing talent, bringing on numerous apprentices. Among them in the mid-1990s was Joe Evers, who, under the mentorship of seasoned professionals within the company, became a highly regarded plumber within the Canberra community. As Joe enhanced his skills across Australia, The Plumbing Doctor continued to grow under new leadership back in Canberra.

The turn of the millennium brought a pivotal moment for Joe when he seized the opportunity to take the helm of The Plumbing Doctor in the Newcastle area. Starting with a modest team of two, Joe expanded the operation to 10 employees. Soon after, another opportunity beckoned—this time to lead the original Canberra branch. It was during this period of growth that the company embraced the electrical services sector, evolving into The Plumbing & Electrical Doctor.

Today, the business boasts a robust team of over 40 professionals across Newcastle, the Central Coast, and Canberra. True to its roots, The Plumbing & Electrical Doctor continues to uphold the core values established over four decades ago, dedicated to excellence and integrity in service.
